CSR in Poland. Baseline Study.

What is a current state of CSR in our country? What shall we do to enhance CSR of Polish economy? On 15th October, the first CSR development analysis’ results had been presented in reference to activities undertaken by Polish enterprises. Conducting research and writing the report is a first stage of a project which aims at promoting CSR in Poland. The report presents various activities deployed by institutions and organizations which popularize social responsibility in private sector. The authors of the report ventured to analyze the true degree to which CSR is spread across Polish businesses. The report had been developed based on the research conducted by regional project and funded by European Commission and UNDP. Since the mid-year of 2001, UNDP actively promotes CSR through the Global Compact Initiative in which it is engaged.

Human Development Report 2007 – Education for work.

Supporting the development of basic and work competences in Polish education system is going at pace too slow to meet current employers’ expectations. According to newest UN Human Development Report, in order to progress the situation on a labor market, it is necessary to improve the quality of education, increase the scope of practical trainings, coordinate and popularize lifelong learning , as well as restore forecasting the demand for work to use is as an indicator in future choice of educational courses.

Guide to good practices. Company of equal chances.
The Guide is an element of a contest organized by UNDP as a part of Gender Index project implemented from EQUAL fund. The contest aims to distinguish companies which take an opportunity for innovative use of men and women equal chances policy in a work place. Competition entries will be analyzed with help of innovative tool – Gender Index indicator which was developed by scientist from top Polish universities. The winning contestants will receive a prestigious emblem ‘Company of equal chances’.
